Notes

This driver is also available through Windows Update.

Always use the latest version of the driver. Versions before 13.33 (19/02/2019) do not support the SpringCore devices. Old versions may not support the newest devices.

Pay attention that any CCID device may also be claimed by Microsoft’s default CCID driver (usbccid.sys aka “Microsoft Usbccid Smartcard Reader (WUDF)”). The problem is, this driver is single-slot only where some SpringCore devices have more than one slot, and it has some limitations regarding the availability of SCardControl. Using SpringCard products with this default driver is definitively possible, but not supported.
