CCID host timers

Address : 02BE (bank 2, register BE)

Size : 8 bytes

Default : 8 bytes at 00

Content

Byte 0 : Time to wait before CCID operation after the SET_CONFIGURATION control (10th of second)

Remark : Slowing down the sequence is necessary on hosts where the driver is activated long before the PC/SC middleware is ready

Byte 1 : Time to wait before CCID operation after the first CONTROL request (10th of second)

Remark : The CONTROL request allows recognizing the driver for Windows

Byte 2 : Time to wait before CCID operation after the first GET_STATUS request (10th of second)

Remark : The GET_STATUS request allows recognizing the driver for Linux and macOS

Byte 3 : Time to wait between two notifications of card insertion/eject on the same slot (milliseconds)

Remark : Slowing down the sequence is necessary when the computer’s PC/SC stack takes some time to accept the next state change

Byte 4 : Time to wait between two interrupt events (milliseconds)

Remark : Slowing down the sequence is necessary when the computer’s PC/SC stack takes some time to react to the interrupt

Byte 5 : Time to wait between a card removed interrupt and the (interrupted) pending response (milliseconds)

Remark : Delaying the answer is necessary when the computer’s PC/SC stack takes some time to handle the interrupt

Byte 6 : Time offered to the host to process interrupts (seconds)

Byte 7 : Time to reset the USB interface in case of host failure (seconds)
