PC/SC over USB on Linux

Once configured to run the CCID profile / PC/SC mode, the SpringCore device is supported by the CCID driver included in the PCSCLite middleware, that provides the PC/SC middleware (pcscd daemon) for Linux and other Unix systems. Binary package are available for most platforms, and it is easy to compile everything from the source.

Notes

Always use the latest version of the driver. Old versions may not support the newest devices.

Getting support

Both the CCID driver and the PCSCLite package are open source projects.

SpringCard is not involved in the development or maintenance of PCSCLite or the CCID driver.

As such, SpringCard cannot provide support on installation, configuration, or debugging of these components.

Integrators who rely on Linux for their solutions and are looking for a paid support are strongly encouraged to sponsor the project and Ludovic Rousseau, its main maintainer. See https://blog.apdu.fr/posts/2020/11/how-to-get-smart-card-support/
